Question 2

home / FAQ / Question 2 /

How much can I borrow?

The amount of equity you can release depends on 3 factors, the age of the youngest borrower, the value of the property & how the funds are advanced. The older you are the more you can borrow and depending on lender between 10% – 50% of your property value may be drawn on.

Minimum loan - $20,000

Maximum Loan – Generally $1,000,000, however some lenders have uncapped maximum loan amounts

The table below will provide you with a guide as to how much equity you can access at what age;

[LVR] The Loan to Value ratio is the percentage of your homes value that you can borrow. Generally the youngest person’s age is used.

How the funds are advanced can also increase your LVR. If you elect to take a combination of lump sum and regular repayments, as apposed to a lump sum only, your maximum LVR could increase by as much as 5%. If you elect to receive regular payments only, the LVR could increase by as much as 6% depending on lender.
